Ralph Nicoletti completed his version of Michelangelo's Virgin Mary bust from the Pieta in clay and had it cast in Marble dust and polyurethane.
He has donated the beautiful bust pictured her to the St. Mary's Episcopalian Church in Stuart on Ocean Blvd.
They have it in their library if you would like to go and see it.
Four letters arrived in the mail yesterday, each addressed to the four winners of the "In Her Image" Art Show.
The letter was a congratulations letter. The individuals were: Jon Neprud, Marcy Brennan, Judith A Suit, and Judy Coffman.

A separate website has been created for the "In Her Image" Sculpture Show which opened in May at TCAA. Fourteen of the 22 original pieces moved over to Art Mundo last week to be on display July though August.
Additional mannequins are available as the show continues to expand. If you purchased a mannequin and didn't get it into the show, now is the time to get it done. Please send a photo along with a phot of you and your comments about the piece and bio to email@example.com to be added to the website.
2nd Show opening: July 10 at Art Mundo, 111 Orange Avenue in the basement.
TCAA member, Sheryl Paul and TA Wyner invite you to take a Farm Tour.
Good Afternoon Everyone,
We have a few events on the horizon, starting with the 2nd Annual U-Drive Farm Tour. This year the tour will cover 5 counties with suggested stops at local businesses that follow our Slow Food guidelines of sustainable and local practices. Our Farm Tour Committee this year consists of David Vaina and Kelly Turnbull from Martin County. David and Kelly will cover the Martin and North Palm Beach area. Jeffrey Rapoport and Olga Gilmore who will cover the Indian River Area. Beth Falls, TA Wyner with lots of help from Sal Varri, and myself for the St Lucie and Okeechobee area.
We hope you will all join us on February 16th. We are producing a booklet to outline the time each farm will be open for the tour, along with their location and a suggested route. We hope this booklet will be available sometime next week, thank you David, for your help with this.
I will e-mail you all the booklet when it is available. It will also be posted on our Slow Food face book page www.facebook.com/slowfoodgtc.
The City businesses have spoken and we, the artists, are responding. The city businesses are asking for ART WALK to come back. So in February we will be rolling out the Hearts of Art and creating hearts out of paper to hang in and outside stores/restaurant where an artist will be featured during the Fort Pierce ARTWALK on FEBRUARY 13th (the day be Valentine's Day) - What fun.
Artists from both the Treasure Coast Art Association, the Art Bank Studios and Art Mundo as well as anyone else are invited to join us for the Heart Workshop set for MON & WED, 21 and 23 January, from 6p – 8p both nights at ART MUNDO (BOTH NIGHTS).
Ginny Piechstreet has graciously agreed to facilitate this creative process. We are going to need newspaper, tissue paper, high quality masking tape (don’t make the mistake I did – Dollar Store masking tape is not good for this project). Acrylic paints, embellishments, lights – for decorating. Brushes if you have any – put your name on them. Wire to make heart frames might be handy as well, and card board.
MON will be make the hearts, TUE they will dry and WED we will decorate.
Art Mundo has plenty of house paint for a base coat and Holly, Director of Art Mundo, is going to get a gallon of Elmer's Glue. Since it will be the dinner hour let’s all plan to bring snacks to share so no one gets grumpy. Wine would be good too. Please RSVP Jeanne Johansen firstname.lastname@example.org at TCAA or Holly at Art Mundo that you are coming. Thank you.
We bring the Art to People and People to the Arts.
